Transcribe · Guide

Sing it. See it. Keep it.

Transcribe listens through your microphone, finds the pitch with a real autocorrelation engine, and paints every note onto a live piano roll — all on your device.

1

Start listening (or press Demo)

Tap Start listening and allow microphone access. No mic, or just curious? Demo feeds a synthesized melody through the exact same detector so you can see it work.

2

Sing, hum, or play

The engine tracks your pitch in real time — the big readout shows the note and a cents needle shows how sharp or flat you are. Notes stream onto the piano roll, coloured by pitch, sized by how long you hold them.

3

Review and export

Stop any time; your take stays on the roll. Clear to start fresh. Session export is a PRO feature — AURA ONE unlocks it along with unlimited recording and every other app.

Questions

Does my audio leave my device?

No. The microphone stream is analysed in your browser and never leaves it. Stopping or a failed start always releases the mic immediately.

How does pitch detection work?

An autocorrelation algorithm finds the repeating period in the waveform and converts it to a frequency, then to the nearest note and a cents offset.

It says the mic is blocked — now what?

Your browser denied access. Use the demo melody meanwhile, or allow the mic in the site permissions and reload.

Why are some notes missing?

Very quiet, very noisy, or polyphonic sound (several notes at once) is hard to track. A clear, single, sustained tone reads best.

Is there a mobile version?

Yes — a thumb-first tuner built for phones. It shares this detector and adds a pocket-sized layout.
